Each lesson stresses values and their correct placements, color coordination of the design and structure, and all important 'pathways' concept.

All of these new patterns are done using DecoArt Traditions paints. Each one has a minimum of 2 hours of DVD. Many have more than 2 hours of instruction. Each pattern using DecoArt Traditions paint has a conversion chart, so that it can also be done using JoSonya paints if desired.

With the look of the 18th century in tones and shades of white, this large floral features my new 'undertone' technique. Done on a metal butler's tray that sits on an unusual metal stand and creates a most striking coffee table for your new decor. The finishing steps of 'veiling' and 'color washing' are featured on a 2 hour DVD. The rest of the design is fully supported by numerous step-by-step color photos.

These designs have been done with a mixed palette of JoSonja and Traditions paints. Many of the toys are 100 years old or more and are the perfect subject matter to adorn this large storage chest. Textured areas are paintable wallpaper (sold separately) that has been sealed onto the wood and antiqued. Includes a 2 hour DVD.

Another Japanese washi paper (sold separately) faux background . This pattern provides the foundation for the garden rooster who simply needs to be shaded to come to life. Nestled in his roost of tall and colorful flowers, sticks, leaves and fall fruit, he calmly surveys his peaceful roost. The top texture is created using another textured wallpaper (sold separately). Features my line/watercolor technique.

Beautifully integrated into this wrap around design of fruit and roses are a Country French Rooster and two companion bunnies. All color tones harmonize with the elegantly carved front doors of this wine cabinet. This is a good beginning project to watch and do. Four hours of DVD are included as you watch me paint and explain my 'underpainting' technique. Similar to the 'undertone' technique, but different in that the first step is not a 'toner' color but the actual color of the item. Watching and doing this project would prepare you for the others. In this project I use both JoSonya and Traditions paints.
